2 Greens (September 15)

Knocked off a second challenge, doing 2 Green Mountains in 1 day - actually the easiest of the challenges. 10.3 miles with just over 4,400'

Easy? Lots of stuff is relative. One guy did 10 Green Mountains to celebrate his 40th birthday

I had a perfect day - as did Maureen who did 2 Green Mountains too (from Flagstaff Road)

Rattlesnake Ramble & Caribou Peak (September 12)

My third running of the Rattlesnake Ramble, a 4.25-mile race with 850' of gain

Afterwards we hiked Caribou Peak, 12,315'

Bethoud Pass (September 6)

Knocked off 3 peaks: Mount Flora (13,132'), Breckenridge Peak (12,889') and Colorado Mines Peak (12,493')

Looking down at the road to Berthoud Pass

This is Joe Brewer. Best I can tell he hikes for a living. His video between 18 & 22 minutes shows the area very nicely

Red Rocks (September 5)

Maureen wanted to go to Red Rocks and run the stairs...

Earlier in the day knocked off one of the challenges:

The beginning...

Me and my friend Michael Kirk set 10 challenges each to complete by July 31st 2016. Each failure will cost $100. Maureen thought it sounded fun so she's in too

The challenges (more or less, some unique to the person):

  1. 50 push-ups, no rest
  2. 2 minute plank
  3. 100 sit-ups in 4 minutes, feet flat on floor
  4. Beat the Bacon. Manitou Incline within 54:02, Kevin Bacon's time
  5. Summit 6 12'ers
  6. 2 Green Mountains in one calendar day
  7. 10 calendar days no smoking
  8. 50K of organized races in less than 5 hours
  9. 1,500 miles running / hiking and 500 miles biking, not stationary (was when date was June 30th)
  10. Sub 7-minute mile

This started September 1st so a little behind...and yes, this will be a very narcissistic blog...
